NY Integrate Tech Donation Drive 2021, an initiative by a group of Sec 4 students, aimed to help migrant workers connect with their families digitally by collecting mobile phone accessories for them. The Organising Team shares the outcome of the project below.

Covid-19 hit the migrant workers really hard and many migrant workers have been unable to return home to reunite with their families over the past year. A needs analysis conducted revealed that migrant workers were in need of these accessories. We had hoped our project to collect these accessories for them would help them keep in touch with their families through digital means. Over several weeks, staff and students generously donated and we collected earpieces, mobile phone chargers and mobile phone covers. All donations were forwarded to the Westlite Kranji Way Quick Build Dorm.

We are indeed encouraged and hope that everyone will continue to spread kindness to the migrant workers in our own little ways!
